Britain will set up a new animal vaccine development centre that will aim to stop viruses jumping into the human population as part of a landmark global health declaration to be agreed by G7 world leaders at Carbis Bay in Cornwall.

3. ‘One Earth, One Health’: PM Modi’s Key Message At G-7 Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the message of "One Earth, One Health" at the G7 outreach summit. The PM joined the summit virtually. Chancellor Angela Merkel specifically referred to PM's mantra and conveyed strong support. The session, titled ‘Building Back Stronger - Health’, focused on global recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and on strengthening resilience against future pandemics.
4. Indian-origin journalists wins Pulitzer Prize
Megha Rajagopalan, an Indian-origin journalist, along with two contributors, has won the Pulitzer Prize for innovative investigative reports that exposed a vast infrastructure of prisons and mass internment camps secretly built by China for detaining hundreds of thousands of Muslims in its restive Xinjiang region. Rajagopalan from BuzzFeed News is among two Indian-origin journalists who won the US'' top journalism award.
5. ALH Mk-III helicopters inducted into Indian Coast Guard
Three Advanced Light Helicopters (ALHs) manufactured by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited were inducted into the stables of the Indian Coast Guard by Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary. These helicopters which are part of the ALH Mk III indigenous Coast Guard programe will be positioned in Bhubaneswar, Porbandar, Chennai and Kochi and will be part of different Coast Guard Aviation Squadrons.

Education technology company Byju’s has raised close to Rs 2,500 crore (about $340 million) from investors such as the UBS Group, Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Blackstone, Abu Dhabi sovereign fund ADQ and Phoenix Rising–Beacon Holdings.
7. Barbora Krejcikova wins French Open women's singles title
In tennis, unseeded Czech Barbora Krejcikova has won her maiden grand slam women's singles title, beating Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the French Open final. Former doubles world number one Krejcikova defeated 31st seed Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at Roland Garros.
