Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, has appointed Neelima Paladugu as its Global Chief People Officer. Paladugu joins Dentons from Deloitte, where she served as a Global People Managing Director.
2. Gem, jewellery exports rise 29% to Rs 23,259 crore in Sept: GJEPC
Gems and jewellery exports rose by 29.67 per cent to Rs 23,259.55 crore in September 2021 compared to Rs 17,936.86 crore in the year-ago month, according to the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

A spacecraft has launched from Cape Canaveral on a mission to uncover "the fossils" of the Solar System. The Lucy probe will head out to the orbit of Jupiter to study two groups of asteroids that run in swarms ahead of, and behind, the gas giant.
4.Indo-US joint training exercise- EX YUDH ABHYAS-21 commences
The 17th Edition of Indo- US joint training exercise – EX YUDH ABHYAS-21 commenced at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Alaska. 300 US Army soldiers and 350 soldiers of the Indian Army are participating in the exercise. The 14-day training schedule includes activities on joint training in a counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism environment under United Nations mandate.
