 Point P is 7 km to the west of Point Q. Point R is 12 km to the south of Point S. Point Q is 5km to the east of Point R. Point T is 8 km to the north of Point R. Point U is 6 km to the west of Point T. Point V is 14 km to the south of Point U. 

1. If Rani is 4km to the west of Point P then how much distance (shortest) she has to cover and in which direction to reach Point T?

 A) 14 km, North-West   B) 10 km, North-East    C) 9 km, South-West    D) 12 km, South-East    E) None of these

2. Sriya is standing 6 km to the east of Point V and takes 1 hour to complete 9 km distance then in what possible time would she reach Point S, if taken the shortest route? 

A) 35 minutes    B) 60 minutes     C) 180 minutes     D) 120 minutes       E) Can't be determined

The distance between shriya and Point S is 18kms

 Speed of shriya is 9 Km/hr 

Time take = Distance/Speed = 18/9

 = 2 hours = 120 min

 Eight persons namely Aaditya, Bharat, Charan, Dinesh, Eshaan, Farhan, Ganesh and Harsha were standing in different directions with respect to each other. Each of them scored different marks in the English subject among 34, 39, 43, 48, 54, 63 and 70 but not necessarily in the same order. Only two of them have equal marks. Aaditya is 12m west of Eshaan and his mark is 54. Only Charan scored the highest mark and stands 15m west of the person, whose mark is 63. Bharat stands 8m north of Harsha, who scored 34 marks. Harsha is 20m south-west of Eshaan. The mark scored by Eshaan and the person who stands 15m west of Charan is the same. Ganesh is 15m west of the person, whose mark is 43.
