DATA SUFFICIENCY-2

Directions (Qs. 1 - 7): Each of the questions below consists two or three statements numbered I, II, and III given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question.

1. Seven persons A, B, C, D, E, F, and G are sitting in a straight-line facing North. Each one likes different colours viz. Blue, Green,Red, White, Purple, Brown, and Pink, but not necessarily in the same order. Who likes Pink?
Statement I: F is third to the right of one who likes Blue and both are not at any end. Three persons are sitting between F and E, who is immediate to the one who likes Purple.
Statement II: D is immediate right of one who likes Green. Neither E nor F likes Green. Two persons are sitting between D and one who likes Pink.
Statement III: G and E are not immediate neighbours. C and one who likes Pink are immediate neighbours. B is second to right of one who likes Red.

2. Eight boxes P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W are arranged one above another in a stack. Each box contains different number of coins viz. 13,14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, but not necessarily in the same order. Which box has the least number of coins?
Statement I: Box R contains ten multiple of coins and only three boxes are above it. Box U contains one coin less to box R. The bottom most box contains prime number of coins but not the least.
Statement II: Box T is immediate above the box which has perfect square number of coins. Two boxes between box T and box V.
Statement III: Three boxes between box R and box S. As many boxes above box S is one more than the boxes below U. Number of coins difference between box U and box V is 6.
A) Three statements I, II and III together are necessary to answer the question.            B) Statement I and III together are sufficient.             C) All the statements, I, II and III even together are not sufficient to answer the question.
D) Statement I and II together are sufficient to answer the question                     E) Statement II and III are sufficient to answer the question

3. Eight members J, K, L, M, N, O, P, and Q are sitting around the circular table facing towards center. They all are like different fruits viz. Kiwi, Guava, Litchi, Mango, Jack,Banana, Papaya, and Fig, but not necessarily in the same order. Who likes Fig?
Statement I: Three persons are sitting between J and one who likes Kiwi. L is second to right of one who likes Kiwi. Two persons are sitting between L and P.
Statement II: The one who likes Fig is immediate right of P. Three persons are sitting between one who likes Fig and one who likes Mango.
Statement III: K, who likes Litchi is not immediate to L. One person is sitting between K and Q. N and K are not immediate neighbours.
A) In all the statements I, II, and III even together are not sufficient to answer the question.         B) All three statements I, II, and III together are necessary to answer the question.       C) Statement II and III are sufficient to answer the question   

D) Statement I and III together are sufficient to answer the question               E) Statement I and II together are sufficient to answer the question

4. Seven boxes - P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are kept one above other. How many boxes are kept below box V?
Statement I: Box R is kept third from top. Box Sand U are adjacent. Box T, which is neither kept adjacent to box U nor box R. Only three boxes are kept between S and R. Box P, which is not kept adjacent to box Q, is kept at any place above box V.
Statement II: Only three boxes are kept between box U and P, which is kept second from top. Box Q, which is neither kept adjacent to box P nor box U, is kept just below box R. Only three boxes are kept between box S and box R.

5. Seven persons - P, Q, R, S, T, U and V have different heights. How many persons are taller to S?
Statement I: S is taller to T, Q but not as muchas P, R. T is taller to V, U but not as much as R,S. R is only short to one person and U is shortest among all.
Statement II: T is taller to V, U but not as muchas R, S. Q is taller to T, V but not as much as S,R. P is tallest among all. V is only taller to U.
A) Statement I is sufficient to answer the question             B) Statement II is sufficient to answer the question                 C) The data in both the two statements I and II together is necessary to answer the question

6. Six persons - O, E, P, D, Q and C are sitting ina circular table facing centre but not necessarily in same order. Each person likes different pets - Parrot, Horse, Monkey, Cat, Rat and Dog not necessarily in the same order. Who sits immediate right of the one who likes Rat?
Statement I: Q sits second to left of D, who sits third to right of E. One who likes Dog sits immediate neighbour of E and sits second to right of one who likes Parrot. One who likes Dog sits immediate right of O who likes Cat. C sits second to left of one who likes Monkey, who sits immediate neighbour of P.
Statement II: D likes Parrot sits second to left of C, who sits second to left of Q. P sits second to the left of O, who sits immediate left of one who likes Dog and O likes Cat. The one who likes Horse sits immediate neighbour of C. Q likes monkey.

7. A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are Sitting around the circular table and they all like different colors viz. Red, Blue, Green, Orange,Yellow, Brown, Pink and Purple but notnecessarily in same order. Who likes Purple?
Statement I: The one who likes blue is immediateleft of E. B likes neither Purple nor Green. D is immediate right of one who likes Red. F is immediate right of C.
Statement II: G is second to the right of A.Only one person is sitting between H and theone who likes yellow, who is immediate to A.Only three persons are sitting between H and one who likes Orange. C likes Brown.
Statement III: A likes either Red or Pink. Hand G are not immediate neighbours. E isthird to the right of one who likes Orange color. One who likes Brown and one who likes purple are facing each other.
A) Statement II and III are sufficient.            B) Statement I and II together are sufficient              C) Statements I, II and III together are necessary to answer the question.
D) Statement I and III together are sufficient to answer the question.            E) Statements, I, II and III even together are not sufficient.
