Directions (1-5) : Study the following graph carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Three different products (in Thousands) produced by a company in five different years

1. What was the total number of all the products produced by the company in the year 2006 and 2008 together?

Ans: 10,750

Exp:Required number of all products =(10+7.5+15+25+30+20) thousand = 10,750

2. What was the average number of Pen-drives produced by the company over all the years together?

Ans: 17,000

Exp: 

3. What is the difference between the total number of Pen-drives and CDs produced by the company together in the year 2008 and the number of Key boards produced by the company in the year 2006?

Ans: 40,000

Exp:
          Required difference = (30 + 25 – 15) thousand
                                             = 40,000

4. What was the respective ratio between the number of Key boards produced by the company in the year 2006, 2007 and 2009?

Ans: 1 : 2 : 1

Exp: Required ratio = 5 : 30 : 15

                                     = 1 : 2 : 1

5. What was the respective ratio between the number of CDs produced by the company in the year 2009 and the number of Keyboards produced by the company in the year 2005?

Ans: 9 : 10

Exp: Required ratio = 22.5 : 25 

                                      = 225 : 250 

                                      = 9 : 10

6. What is the difference between the number of candidates appeared from institutions- B, C, D and F together and candidates passed from institutions- A, E and G together?

Exp: Required difference = (1400 + 700 + 1200 + 600) - (1200 + 1200 + 500)
                                              = 3900 – 2900 = 1000                          
7. What is the average number of candidates passed from all the institutions together?
Ans: 700
Exp: Average Number of candidates passed out from all the institutions together

8. Number of candidates passed from institutions- C and E together is approximately what percentage of the total number of candidates appeared from institutions A and G together?
Ans: 67

= 240 thousand

= 180 thousand = 1.8 lakhs
17. If the cost of manufacturing one television in the year 2008 was Rs.12000, then what was the total expenditure of company C for manufacturing all the televisions in the same year?
Ans: Rs. 42 crore
Exp: Required expenditure = (12000× 35000)= 42,00,00,000 = 42 crore

                                    = (60 + 55 + 80 + 90 + 75 + 85) × 100 = 44,500
Required difference = 44,500 – (85 + 60) × 100
                                    = 44500 – 14,500

24. Total number of students who qualified in the exam from school-P over all the years together was approximately what percentage of total number of students who qualified in the exam from both the schools together in the years 2006 and 2007 together?

Exp: Total number of students from school P who qualified over the years
                      = (85 + 80 + 95 + 65 + 40 + 90) × 100 = 45,500
          Total number of students who qualified from both schools in 2006 and 2007
                      = (80 + 55 + 95 + 80) × 100 = 31,000
