SENTENCE COMPLETION

In this fill in the blanks (or) sentence completion topic, candidates are asked to fill an incomplete sentence with one or more words missing, and for each blank, five options will be given. The candidates have to choose the correct option to make the sentence correct. The questions will be asked from vocabulary and grammar topics.

Tips to solve fill in the blanks

* Read the sentence carefully: The candidate must read the given sentence twice or thrice carefully before filling the gaps and try to analyse the logical structure of the sentence.

* First try to fill the missing words on your own: Once you complete reading the sentence, try to fill the blanks on your own without seeing the options. If you understand the context of the sentence well, you can find some clues and are able to fill the blanks easily. But for doing this you should have better vocabulary skills.

* Look for the best alternative to fill the blank: Some questions will be asked to test your grip on vocabulary and grammar. So, once you are done with reading the sentence, look for the best alternative from the options that suits to fill, in the blank. This will be tricky because you the options will confuse you. Strong vocabulary and grammar skills are required to crack these types of questions.
