Project work

As a part of Formative Assessment a project must be done by the students. Suggested projects that can be carried out in the chapter - Sets.
1. Conduct a survey to collect the information from 5 families in your surroundings about the channels they watch and draw the Venn diagram to represent the same.

Find n(E), n(M) and n (E ∩ M) of the five families and find out n(E ∪ M) from the relation
n(E ∪ M) = n(E) + n(M) - n(E ∩ M). Draw the Venn diagram for the collected data.

2. Collect the information of the students participating in the Essay writing competition class - wise from VI to X. The competition will be held in three languages Telugu, Hindi and English on three different days. Collect the information as follows and draw the Venn diagram to represent the same.

 Verify the relation
n(T ∪ H ∪ E) = n(T) + n(H) + n(E) - n(T ∩ H) - n(T ∩ E) - n(H ∩ E) + n(T ∩ H ∩ E).
