Sitting Arrangement

Directions (Qs. 1 - 5): Study the following information to answer the given questions. Sunil, Tarun, Uman, Vijay, Watson, Xavier, Yunus and Zeeshan are sitting in a straight line equidistant from each other (but not necessarily in the same order). Some of them are facing South while some are facing North. (Note: facing the same direction means, if one is facing North then the other is also facing North and if one is facing South then other is also facing South. Facing the opposite direction means, if one is facing North then the other is facing South and vice-versa.) Sunil faces North. Only two people sit to the right of Sunil. Tarun sits third to the left of Sunil. Only one person sits between Tarun and Xavier. Xavier sits on the immediate right of Watson. Only one person sits between Watson and Zeeshan. Both the immediate neighbours of Tarun face the same direction. Uman sits third to the left of Xavier. Tarun faces the opposite direction of Sunil. Yunus does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line. Vijay faces the same direction as Watson. Both Yunus and Uman face the opposite direction of Zeeshan.

Eight persons – Barira, Raghu, Anil, Karan, Mani, Raju, Meher and Ravi - are sitting around a circle at equal distance between two persons but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing towards the centre while some others are facing outside the centre. Ravi is sitting 3rd to the left of Meher. Both Meher and Ravi are facing towards the outside. Karan is not an immediate neighbour of Meher or Ravi. Raju faces the just opposite direction of Karan. (It implies that if Karan is facing towards the centre, Raju would face outside the centre). Raju is sitting 2nd to the left of Karan. Both the immediate neighbours of Anil face the opposite direction of Anil. Barira is an immediate neighbour of Meher. Both the immediate neighbours of Karan face the opposite direction of Karan. Barira faces towards the centre and she is an immediate neighbour of both Meher and Mani. Mani faces towards the centre.

Directions (Qs. 11 - 15): Read the given information carefully and answer the questions given beside: Eight members viz. Aakash, Bunty, Chaitanya, Daman, Eshaan, Farhan, Ganesh and Hamish of a society went shopping. Each of them spent in the multiples of Rs.250 i.e., Rs.250, Rs.500 up to Rs.2000 not necessarily in the same order. After shopping, they went to a restaurant and all of them sat on a circular table facing the centre. The one who spent Rs.1750 is three places to the right of Daman. The difference in the amounts spent by Hamish and Eshaan is maximum possible and they are sitting opposite to each other. Ganesh spends more than Bunty. There is exactly one person between Chaitanya and the one who spends Rs.250 and Chaitanya is not adjacent to Daman. Only for one pair of persons who are sitting opposite to each other, the difference between their spending is Rs.1000. Aakash spends Rs.750 and is adjacent to the person who spends least. The one who spends Rs.1250 is three places to the left of Eshaan, who sits three places to the leftof Daman. Aakash sits sixth to the left of Farhan and there are exactly two persons sitting between Farhan and Hamish. The difference between the amount spent by Daman and the one to its immediate right is the same as the amount spent by Daman and the one to its immediate left.

Directions (Qs. 16 - 20): Study the following information to answer the given questions. Eight students Amit, Bala, Charan, Deepak, Eshaan, Farhan, Ganesh, and Haswanth are sitting in a row facing North but not necessarily in the same order. No two successive students are sitting together according to alphabetical order. For example: Amit does not sit with Bala; similarly, Bala does not sit with Charan and so on. They also like different sports like Football, Cricket, Tennis, Boxing, Kabaddi, Taekwondo, Long jump, and High jump but not necessarily in the same order. Either Deepak or Bala sits at the extreme end of the row. Amit likes High jump and sits second from the left end of the row. Deepak sits third to the left of one who likes Long jump.
