Mensuration - 3D

3D shapes are solids that consists of 3 dimensions namely length, breadth, height.

Every 3D geometric shape occupies some space based on its dimensions and we can see so many 3D shapes all around us in our day to day life.

E.g.: cube, cuboid, cone, cylinder.

Volume and surface area related to solids.

Volume:

Space occupied by an object is called as the volume of that particular object.

It is always measured in cube unit like cube metre.

Surface Area:

Surface area of a solid body is the area of all its surfaces together.

Surface area is measured in square unit like square metre.

Surface Area:

► Surface area of a solid body is the area of all its surfaces together.

► Surface area is measured in square unit like square metre.
