I) What is the potential difference between C, D?
II) Determine the resultant resistance of circuit between points A, B.

5. Observe the circuit given below: If R1 = R2 = R3 = 200 Ω, voltmeter reading = 100 V and resistance of voltmeter = 100 Ω then find EMF of the battery.  (AS 4) 4 Marks As shown in the above circuit
The potential difference at points A, B, C are 70 V, 0 V, 10 V then

i) What is the potential at D?

7. In Doshagna's house there are 4 tube lights, 2 fans and 1 Television. A tube light consumes 40 W, a fan 80 W, a T.V. 100 W. If each tube light is used for 5 hours, two fans for 12 hours and T.V. for 6 hours in a day. Find the cost of electric energy used 30 days at the rate of Rs.2 per unit.   (AS 6) 4 Marks

8. Two conductors of resistances 10 Ω and 20 Ω are connected in parallel to a 2 V battery. Draw the circuit diagram and find the current in the circuit and also in each of the conductors.   (AS 1) 4 Marks
