 Rampur: A Village Economy

       Villages are the key economic sources to India. In villages across India, farming is the main production activity. Land is the most crucial factor necessary for farm activity. The factors of production are "Land, Labour, Capital and Entrepreneur." The aim of production is to produce goods and services to needy people. The minority rich people engaging the advanced technology with their own capital or influencing the Banks and barrow money with low interest to do the agricultural in their own lands. But the majority small farmers and agricultural labourers unable to get loans from Banks and other Governmental Institutions. They are borrowing money from money lenders for higher interests.
     Rampur is the best example of Indian villages to show the real life conditions.

* The state government fix a common minimum wage to be paid by all employers within the state.
* MNREGA has provided some support to the incomes of rural works. (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Assurance.)
* Non - Farm activities include small-scale manufacturing, transport, shop keeping etc.
* Most small farmers have to borrow money to arrange for the working capital.
* The medium and large farmers generally have their own savings from farming.
* Small farmers keep substantial share of production for their own family needs.
* Many kinds of transport starting from bullock carts, Tongas, Bogas, Bogeys to Motor vehicles like Motor Cycle, Jeeps, Tractors and Trucks are visible in Rampur.
