1. What is the total number of male children staying in all the colonies together?

Ans: 546

2. What is the total number of members staying in all the colonies together?

Ans: 4550

3. What is the respective ratio of the total number of adult males in the colonies A and B together to the total number of adult males in D and E together

Ans: 7:18

Explanation:

Adult males in A = 200 − 54 = 146,

                      in B = 400 −189 = 211 

                                       Total = 357.

                       in D = 600−125 = 475 and

                       in E = 500−57    = 443, 

                                       Total  = 918

Required Ratio is 357 : 918 = 7:18

4. What is the difference between the number of male children in colony B and the number of female children in colony E?

Ans: 39

5. What is the respective ratio of the number of female children to the total number of adult males staying in all the colonies together?

Ans: 91:250

Explanation:Total number of women in Accounts =  1/4  × 8% of 4600 = 92
Total number of women in HR = 1/2  ×11% of 4600 = 253, IT= 897,
Marketing = 506, Merchandising = 138,

Production = 276, Total Women = 2162

Total Number of Men = 4600 − 2162 = 2438

Required ratio = 2438:2162 = 53:47
