Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Railway Recruitment Boards invites applications for the recruitment(CEN No.03/ 2024) of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, Chemical Supervisor (Research) and Metallurgical Supervisor (Research) Vacancies.

RRB Region participating in CEN No.03/2024: Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Goarkhpur, Jammu & Srinagar, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram.

1. Chemical Supervisor/ Research and Metallurgical Supervisor/ Research: 17 Posts (RRB Gorakhpur only)
2. Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: 7934 Posts
Total no. of posts: 7,951.

Qualification: Diploma in Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology, B.Sc. in relevant discipline.

Discipline: Chemical and Metallurgical, Civil, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemistry and Physics etc.

Age limit (as on 01.01.2025): 18-36 years.

Initial Pay(Per month): 
* Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Rs.35,400.
* Chemical Supervisor/ Research and Metallurgical Supervisor/ Research Rs.44,900.

Stages of Exam: There shall be two stages of Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification (DV) and medical examination (ME).

1st Stage CBT Subjects & Marks: Mathematics (30 questions- 30 marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 questions- 25 marks), General Awareness (15 questions- 15 marks), General Science (30 questions- 30 marks).

Duration: 90 minutes.

No. of Questions: 100.

2nd Stage CBT Subjects & Marks: General Awareness (15 questions- 15 marks), Physics & Chemistry (15 questions- 15 marks), Basics of Computers and Applications (10 questions- 10 marks), Basics of Environment and Pollution Control (10 questions- 10 marks), Technical Abilities (100 questions- 100 marks).

Duration: 120 minutes.

No of Questions: 150.

Application Fee: Rs.500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. The amount of Rs.400 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st stage of CBT. For the SC, ST, ESM, Female, EBC, and Transgender is Rs.250. The full Application fee of Rs.250 will be refunded after the candidate appears in the 1st stage of the written exam (CBT).
