GIST:
  The Dr. Suraya Nasim wrote the poem Abandoned. Her poems are simple and easy to read and hopefully easier to understand. This poem is about a poor little new born baby who abandoned in a garbage. Mosquitoes and insects are eating tiny fingers. The baby is crying and the shrick of the baby are not heard because baby's hysteria dies in eerie silence of the night. The baby has driven out by the destiny soon; breath racing in quick gasps.. The baby has cyansed lips, sea blue nose and finger tips. The waste and the ragged things make the baby shiver.
  A filthy black cat comes near to the bin insearch of easy rats and finds its food. The rats start to lear the baby's hair with their sharp teeth and gnawing the baby's ears to complete their food. At that time cat jumps in with screeching meow. The rats leave the bin by clicking squeak. Finally the baby left to the cat. The only sin of the infant did that she was born as human being.
 

పద్య సారాంశం:
  డాక్టర్ సురయ నాసిమ్ రాసిన ఈ పద్యం అప్పుడే పుట్టిన పాపను చెత్తకుండీలో వేసిన సంఘటనకు సంబంధించింది. ఈమె పద్యాలు మనసు నుంచి వెలువడతాయి. ఇవి చదువుకోవడానికి సరళంగా, తేలికగా ఉండటమే కాకుండా సులువుగా అర్థమవుతాయి.
చెత్తకుండీలోని పాప లేత వేళ్లను దోమలు, కీటకాలు తింటుంటాయి. ఆ పాప ఏడుపు నిశబ్దపు రాత్రిలో అరణ్య రోదనే అవుతుంది. ఇల్లు, సమాజం నుంచి ఆ పాపను వెళ్లగొట్టారు. ఆ పాప పెదవులు ఆకుపచ్చ, నీలం కలిసిన రంగులో; ముక్కు, వేలి కొనలు సముద్రపు నీలం రంగులో ఉన్నాయి. దుర్వాసన వల్ల శ్వాస పీల్చుకోవడానికి కష్టపడుతూ వణుకుతుంది. ఇంతలో ఒక అశుద్ధ నల్ల పిల్లి ఎలుకల కోసం ఆ చెత్తకుండీ వద్దకు వచ్చింది. అక్కడున్న ఎలుకలు ఆ పాప వెంట్రుకలను, చెవులను పీక్కు తింటున్నాయి. నల్ల పిల్లి అరుస్తూ దూకేసరికి ఎలుకలు పారిపోయాయి. మనిషిగా పుట్టడమే ఆ పసిపాప చేసిన తప్పు.
