పైన underline చేసిన మాటలన్నీ కూడా 'ఎక్కువ సంఖ్య' (a number of)/ 'చాలా', అనే అర్థం ఉన్న మాటలు. అన్నింటి అర్థం 'చాలా' నే అయినా అవి వాడే సందర్భాలన్నీ ఒకటి కాకపోవచ్చు. కాబట్టి, ఏ మాటను ఏ సందర్భంలో వాడాలో ఇప్పుడు తెలుసుకుందాం.
'ఎక్కువ సంఖ్యలో', 'చాలా' అనే అర్థంతో మనం మామూలుగా వాడే మాట. 'many'.
many - చాలా (countables - లెక్కపెట్టేవాటికి వాడతాం.)
అయితే ఓ ముఖ్య విషయం: 'Many' ని correct English లో చాలావరకూ 'not' తోనే వాడతాం. 'ఎక్కువ లేవు' అనే అర్థంతో. questions లో కూడా వాడతాం.
Many people attended the party yesterday - ఇది అంత సరైన English కాదు. 'చాలా మంది పార్టీకి వచ్చారు నిన్న' అనే అర్థంతో చెప్పాలంటే, 'Many people' బదులు, 'A lot of people/ a large number of/ a number of people attended the party అనడం correct.

(ఈరోజు ఉదయం నీ క్లాసుకు ఎంత మంది హాజరయ్యారు?)

The stars are countless/ countless stars adorn the sky.' ఇదివరకు చర్చించిన మాటల కంటే కాస్త తీవ్రమైన పదం.
నక్షత్రాలు లెక్కపెట్టలేనన్ని/ లెక్కించలేనన్ని నక్షత్రాలు ఆకాశాన్ని అలరిస్తాయి.

గమనిక: పైన మనం చూసిన expressions అన్నీ countables (లెక్కపెట్టగలిగిన వాటి)కి వాడాం ఎక్కువ సంఖ్యలో అనే అర్థంతో. వీటిలో, a lot of/ plenty of/ abundant/ copious లను uncountables (లెక్క పెట్టలేనివి, rice, sugar, milk etc) ముందు కూడా వాడవచ్చు. 'ఎక్కువ మొత్తంలో' అనే అర్థంతో.
