Work Options

International students who are studying in Germany can work part-time up to 20 hours per week during course time and full time during vacation (about 90 days in a year).  After completion of the course, students are given an 18 months graduate job search visa which can be converted into a work permit when the student finds a job. 

A Schengen permit allows students to travel and work freely among the other EU nations. Due to close contact with industries and practical course students find it relatively easy to get absorbed in jobs relating to their field of study. After a student gets a full-time job in Germany the student is eligible to apply for a permanent resident visa. For more details visit their offices.

10. Students who have completed have to submit consolidated marks memo (Xerox with Attestation from German Consulate )
11. 2 Recommendation letters from college/ university professors (for each application)

Getting your German VISA

Schengen Visa - (This Visa allows you to travel or work in 14 nations of the European Union). All EU nations are developed, rich, technically advanced and tourist countries. Euro is the common currency in all these countries.

Visa - Normally getting an admission is very easy but getting a visa is very difficult. In EU nations getting admission is difficult but getting a visa is comparatively simple as focus is primarily on the profile and genuineness of the case and not on financials. Funds for living expenses can be transferred into special German bank account.

Admission process

There are limited seats at every university. Admissions are merit based. The admission criterion is fairly complex with different weights given to different aspects of academics. Documentation is also cumbersome as detailed documentation is required. Some documents also need attestation and translation into German. 

Both online and paper applications are to be submitted. (For a detailed list please contact any of our offices.). Admission takes about 3 to 4 months. However admission deadlines close well in advance therefore it is advisable to start 6-8 months in advance.

About Germany

Among all countries offering free education Germany is the best destination for students as Germany is regarded as the land of ideas. The standard of higher education is top class. Germany offer students the opportunity to do internships, programs often includes interaction with industry. Many universities have close ties with companies like SAP, Siemens, DPWN, Daimler, BMW or Bosch which increases career prospects.

The German education system
German has many old established public and private universities that are known for world class education. These fall under the following categories State universities, state technical universities and state polytechnic universities. Mostly education is in German language however some universities offer education in English for international students. Mostly masters programs are available in engineering fields with very few options in doctoral programs as well. Specializations offered are limited.

Other than free education, paid education is also available for international students where the course options are relatively flexible. The quality of education is the same as free education.

Entry Criterion
Academic requirement – To apply for a bachelors program a 10=2 or equivalent is required, for a master’s program a bachelor’s degree is required. For free education, past academic record in the same field is highly desirable. Only students with strong academic profile can get admission into good universities. GRE score if available and good (though not compulsory) adds weight to the profile. Others may have to opt for paid education.

There are limited options for doctoral programs and requirements vary n a case to case basis. Please get in touch with our offices to know about your specific profile.
Language proficiency - All students seeking to study in Germany must be fluent in English. An IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency exams scores is required for admission and visa. If students are proficient in German and have cleared exams then it is an added advantage as they can also opt for courses which are partially taught in German.
