Naftali Bennett was sworn-in as the new Prime Minister of Israel after winning a confidence vote with the narrowest of margins, just 60 votes to 59. His victory ended the 12-year power of former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the country’s longest-serving leader.
2. Novak Djokovic clinches his second French open Men’s Singles title
In tennis, world No.1 Novak Djokovic clinched his second French open Men’s Singles title after beating world No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the five-sets battle at Roland-Garros. Fighting back from two sets down, the 34-year-old Serb has won the match 6-7 (6-8), 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 against 22-year old Tsitsipas to claim his 19th Grand Slam title. He is now one short of the men’s 20 Grand Slam titles record of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

4. Veteran Brigadier Raghubir Singh passes away
Brigadier Raghubir Singh, Mahavir Vir Chakra passes away at an age of 99 years. Born on 02 November 1923, in Soda village of Tonk District, Brig Raghubir Singh was commissioned on 18 April 1943 into the Sawaiman Guards as a Second Lieutenant and fought a number of wars including the second world war.
