1. Former Bihar CM Karpoori Thakur to be conferred with Bharat Ratna
The former chief minister of Bihar, Karpoori Thakur, will be awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced. Thakur, popularly known as 'jannayak', served as chief minister from December 1970 to June 1971 and from December 1977 to April 1979.

2. Maharashtra Gymnast Aaryan Davande wins Boys Artistic All-Round Gold at Khelo India Youth Games in Chennai
In the Khelo India Youth Games 2023, defending champions Maharashtra opened their gold medal account when gymnast Aaryan Davande clinched the Boys Artistic All-Round crown at the SDAT Aquatics complex in Chennai . Davande accumulated a total of 73 points to beat Uttar Pradesh’s Pranav Mishra. Harshit of UP clinched the bronze in the event.

3. Prime Minister Modi Launches Bharat Parv
The Ministry of Rural Development and Lady Irwin College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen nutrition, gender equity and livelihoods for women. During the five-year term of MoU, the Ministry will work with the college on ROSHNI initiative- Centre of Women Collectives led Social Action to strengthen interventions for better results of health for rural communities.

4. India overtakes Hong Kong as world’s fourth-largest stock market by market capitalisation
India’s stock market has overtaken Hong Kong to become the fourth-biggest equity market globally for the first time. As per data compiled by Bloomberg, the combined value of shares listed on Indian exchanges reached 4.33 trillion dollar as against 4.29 trillion dollar for Hong Kong.
